Real Name: Heath Andrew Ledger
Nationality: Australian
Height: 6' 1
Hair: Light Blonde
Eyes: Brown
Born: April 4, 1979 in Perth, Western Australia, Australia.
Discovered: Heath got started in acting somewhat by accident when in junior high it was compulsory to do one of two electives, either cooking or drama, and he chose drama.
When he was 17, he and a friend, decided to pack up, leave school, take a car and rough it to Sydney. Heath's dreams of stardom were quickly questioned when Heath failed to get any auditions. Finally, his first real acting job came in a low budget movie called Blackrock, a largely unimpressive cliche ridden teen angst film about one boy's struggle when he learns his friend raped a girl. After that small role Heath took the role of a gay cyclist in the series "Sweat," about a group of young Olympic hopefuls. The show was soon cancelled and no major roles followed for Heath.
Heath realized that if he wanted bigger roles he would have to move to America. In the U.S. Heath landed a role in the short-lived series "Roar". He could not find any American roles but Australian director Gregor Jordan auditioned him for the lead in Two Hands, which he got. Two Hands helped Heath secure a role in the film, 10 Things I Hate About You. That role made Heath a star and from there his career took off with bigger and more serious roles, including in The Patriot in 2000, Monster's Ball in 2001, Ned Kelly in 2003 and Lords of Dogtown in 2005.

Quotes: (About the paparazzi) "Most of the time you don't even know they're there. Now, that's the scary thing. It's really strange and invading, but I'm still working it all out. I try to not let it bother me. I really try and find the humour in all of it. And if I want to swim naked in my pool, I'm still going to do it. I certainly don't want to feel that I have to change everything in my life that I do to cater to them. I just won't let it happen." - Heath Ledger
"I prefer to date older women because they don't try to act older like younger girls but because they try to act younger." - Heath Ledger
"It's a little uncomfortable doing love scenes in armor, but, you know, when the heat's on, the heat's on." - Heath Ledger
